Whisper. Rumor. Myth.
In the empire, any talk of Miror is forbidden.
When Anica Andreas crosses the general of the empire, her adoptive father, he grants her a single opportunity to achieve the rank she’s worked toward her entire life. All she has to do is infiltrate the enemy city of Miror and slay the murderous beast, called the Reaper.
The impossible mission is nothing more than a glorified exile, but Anica refuses to let the general determine her future.
United by a shared desire to free from the Reaper’s bloody reign, Anica gambles on an alliance with the city’s spymaster. But magical, misty, labyrinthine Miror becomes her waking nightmare. The lines between friend and foe, and monster and man begin to blur, until she no longer knows who to trust. One wrong decision could kill her…if the Reaper doesn’t get to her first.
